The purpose of this section is to give specific directions to basic equipment that will get youthrough the game. The mists gear just doesn't cut it at this point! Some of this gear, such as the axe, sword, and spear laying on the ground described below can be obtained far below level 15. There are a few things you need to know about this section: The information on items you see are ID tags. When a mage casts the spell identify on an item, that is what they see. It reveals the stats of an item. The directions provided for each item are from Ethshar Market Square. If you haven't found it by now, from Glyndane Market Square you will want to go 11n, 11w. You will need a boat for some of these items, as you will lead led across water. You can buy a canoe from the General Store in Glyndane or the Boat Shop in Ethshar. Withour further delay, here you go!
Weapons:
Axe, Sword, Spear
These weapons are laying on the ground here. Free! The axe is the best of the three, but if you need a sword or spear they are decent for this level as well.

Here is a mace, axe, spear, whip, and sword on the ground. If you're using a spear, axe, or sword in the above section they are better than these. All practice weapons are average 11 EXCEPT for the staff which is average 13.

At the end of these directions you'll find yourself in a dwarven training camp. You'll want to use the 'scan' command to look for "dwarf trainee" and "dwarf instructor".

(Veteran 1, 2, 3)= These three veteran guards will attack you. Don't panic! These 3 aren't that tough and are the ones you will need to check for the below items. You will likely need to leave the area to let it repopulate to get a 2nd one of each.

(Kill guard)= Here there is "A dwarf guard". "Scan" if you cannot see him, as he may move. He has a metallic orange key you need.
(Kill miner)= Within the last few steps there will be "A dwarf miner". "Scan" if you cannot see him. Kill one for a metallic blue key.
Once you've reached the end of the directions you are looking for a dwarf foreman. Many times he is sitting where the end of the directions point to. Sometimes he wanders, so you will want to use the 'scan' command to look in all directions to find him.

(Kill guard)= Here there should be "A dwarf high guard". "Scan" if you cannot see him, as he may move. He has a shiny steel key you need.
