Giant Subraces are here!

Giants have emerged from across the giant kingdom, many as you know them today, now referred to as Hill Giants. Others are strange and different than their ancient ancestors. Ice, Fire, Moss, and Storm, all quite different, but they bring a new excitement, and many new possibilities to the lands of Thera.

Please note: As these are brand new, tweaks are possible as these are played and tested. We appreciate constructive feedback on the subraces. Please direct those comments to the forum.

General House Meeting - Immortal Staff

On Thursday Sept. 9th (beginning at 7:00pm Central (game time)) we will be holding a general house meeting for each of the 6 houses. Leaderships may get shaken up and general house maintenance will be taken care of. Each house will have a dedicated 10 minutes of time before we move on to the next house in line. The schedule (and immortal sponsor) for the meetings will be:

7:00--Conclave -- Nyrisia
7:10--Crusader -- Joja
7:20--Ancient -- Nyrisia and Isimsiz?
7:30--Legion -- Nyrisia
8:20--Light -- Alrec
8:30--Valor -- Alrec

If something needs to be said but goes over the time limit, it will have to wait until after 10pm Thursday. Bring your questions and a quick excerpt of any ideas to the table and be ready to go. If you feel you can't squeeze it into the time limit please e-mail or PM me, Joja (if Crusader), Isimsiz (if Ancient), or Alrec (if Light/Valor) and we will take a look at it.

Website changes - Nyrisia

The website will be undergoing a few revamps and updates over the next few weeks. Hopefully missing links to races and classes will be fixed. Don't be alarmed if links lead to dead pages. There's light at the end of the tunnel!

Warrior subclasses! - Nyrisia

Three + months of hard work have finally paid off!  All NEWLY rolled warriors will now be able to choose one of three subclasses (or none): Berserker, Defender and Blade Dancer.

Weapon Enchanting Contest Winners - Xyza

IMMORTAL HOLY DAY - Xyza

The first celebration of an immortal holy day took place today when new coding went into effect to give, throughout the day, a blessing... The first immortal holy day to be celebrated was Lady Xyza's, today being the 12th anniversary of the beginning of Dark Mists in its first beta (aka, the Unofficial Anniversary)... There will be more of these immortal holy days throughout the year...

NEW WEBSITE LAUNCH! - Riallus

Dark Mists has successfully launched a new website with new graphics, layout, and a new engine that allows us to dynamically update content!

We hope you enjoy the website as much as we do, and hope that all our players and Imms will contribute time and effort to developing the site.  We'll be putting a category on the forum just for website issues, and so that you can express your thoughts.

My thanks to Rantialen and his company, Dynamit.us for all their help, to Fastolph, for all his help with the webserver and systems setup on the Dark Mists side as well as to Morrbway, who assisted with the content, and will be further coordinating some of our online development efforts.
