The Clans

The Theran Guild of Magic, a guild formed in the appreciation of magic as that which gives us life, also provides a common ground for the gifts defense.

The foundation of the TGM is rooted in a process begotten from the Conclave of Magic. Wizard Stelerex Ului'thnii submitted a structure, basis of ideals, and began to fill its ranks. This idea was formed as his 'Final Research Project' or 'Final Study,' something all apprentices of the tower must complete before
full wizardhood. Upon additional assistance from Wizard Railen, he brought what was once an idea into reality. The guild was founded with many things in mind, it provided a means for people to assemble and proclaim the sacred nature of magic as well as the coordination of defense and learning. The guild also serves as a good foundational point for would-be apprentices to the Hourglass tower.

As spoken this provides people whom are persecuted by the crusades an chance to better defend and organize themselves. As a member of the TGM, mages find that they will come across the chance to teach the new mages inducted, providing an ever greater chance to further magic while giving the individual mage a chance to pass his ideals on for ages to come.

The idea of passing ones ideals on and part of those ideals being knowledge is perhaps the second key to the TGM. Knowledge is something valued by all that walk as members of the guild. We strive to have not only competent, but beyond competent, the brightest teachers in Thera to educate the youth, and again in that education provide a means for their legacy to live on.

The Leader of the Guild oversees all undertakings, the Patrons and Scholars of each sect focus more on those of their own path. The books of the TGM can be found in Libraries throughout Thera or upon request from any member of the TGM.
