Liefdei is the God of Sagacity and Resilience. Born an orphan and raised in the wilderness, he grew up as a young woodsman in the far forests of DDA. Upon finding his first town, a steadfast monk took him in and taught him the ways of true mastery over his body and mind, the way of the Dragon. After many years of hard work and dedication, he was released from the guild to build his own life, shown the path to Glyndane and told to make acquaintances with the Kaiden of the Dojo. There his training progressed further, and his mind opened to new experiences. Learning of the horrible ways of Thera, he already felt an overwhelming need to join his elvenkind and other creatures of goodness in banishing evil from the lands. It was not until his true love, Ayana, was killed by drow marauders that his life came into focus. He trained for the Protectors of Life, and eventually led the house and its threefold war against Legion, Brethren, and the assassins of Ancient. His life was shortened greatly by the battles, and thanks to the Lady Xyza, he was given another chance to continue his work. During a horrible meteor storm which destroyed the Grey Havens, his mind was rattled and from that point on, never the same. Genocide was his only wish, and the absolute banishment of evil things became his all encompassing thought.

When the Tree of Life was destroyed, Liefdei also perished with it. Months later, after Lord Dielantha created the new Dome of Light, Liefdei was resurrected as an immortal, but with his resurrection came the refocusing of his mind. No longer was Liefdei the genocidal maniac he once was, but instead, a sensible person who had reached an enlightenment that forever altered his life. A vision into the diverse web that all living things have value, gave Liefdei the sense to avoid such wrong doings as Genocide again. He began to understand the delicate nature of strength, good, evil, love, and hatred. Even as an immortal, these visions were straining at best to the mind, and so developed his keen resilience to assaults of mental nature. Followers of Liefdei know that an acute sense should be developed to guide themselves from causing negative waves upon this delicate web, and that mastery of ones mind is the only path to mortal wisdom.
