It was upon the coldest day of the month of the Frost Giant in a year unknown that Cylan was born by Gwynthonia unto Arwynthonan of the Crimsonmane Clan located beyond the Dying forest. His father, Arwynthonan was Chieftain of the Crimsonmane Clan and, therefore, educated his son in the arts of warfare and diplomacy. However, Cylan was youth driven by passion and discipline more so than diplomacy. He excelled in the arts of warfare yet his diplomacy tutelage was lacking. When Cylan reached his twelfth year of life he began to hear voices speaking in the forest and he ventured to investigate such voices. Moving well through the forest, as his father had taught, Cylan had come upon the voices and noticed it was but a lioness scolding her male cub. Then, as Cylan watched the lioness and her cub, out of no where came a troop of trolls that quickly, and violently slew the lioness and all of her cubs. Filled with rage, Cylan's discipline won out and he was able to leash his rage just in time so as to not, himself, be slaughtered by the troop. It was then that Cylan's world came crashing upon him. He became filled with so many emotions and thoughts that when he returned to camp he spoke to no one and only retreated to his inner thoughts. After two months of solitude Cylan came to the conclusion that he had to leave the clan and pursue this new discovery of his that enables him to understand beasts as. He coupled that with an inner rage that drove him to despise any of the forces of the darkness and he wished for their utter destruction. His mother was stricken with sadness and his father was plagued with anger at Cylan's decision to leave the Clan rather than eventually take his place. However, against his parents wishes he departed to the Rangers Guild within the city of Glyndane. There, at the Rangers Guild, Cylan began to quickly excel in the 'arts of woodsmanship as well as mastering the art of speaking to beasts. It was not long after this that Cylan encountered Lord Tiltan who saw Cylan's spirit to wage war against the darkness and he began to foster that spirit along with the ability to discipline Cylan's passion for a greater good. This brought Cylan to the gates of the Dome of Light, where he was not long after his seeking of such became one of the Dome. Once Cylan was within the Dome of Light he gained almost instant recognition for his might in battle and the felling of many of the dark forces. However, Cylan's brusque manner was not often taken well amongst others of the Dome of Light and many internal confrontations were brought to Cylan's doorstep. It was then that Cylan had noticed that most of the Dome of Light had become too pacifistic and had lost the vision of the Dome and the War that was being waged and he then sought out to purge the house from these peaceful ideals and bring about an army of Light that would finally stand against the strong tide of darkness. Over time the Dome started to come to what she was intended to be and Cylan was promoted to Captain. It was at this time that the High inquisitor and General were of a long leave of absence and Cylan rose to the responsibility of, though he was a Captain, leading the house to great victories. This was noticed by Lord Tiltan and Lord Dielantha and Cylan was promoted to Grand General where he continued to bring together and train his soldiers in the arts of warfare and how to use the Dome's abilities to its greatest potential. For once in a very long time, the Dome of Light was a powerful force to reckon with. As time transpired everything seemed to fall into place until one windy night when a dark beast was seen overhead and Cylan and his Soldiers of the Dome went to investigate. The beast turned out to be an enormous black dragon which served as a mount for a shadowed necromancer that ended up laying waste to Lord Dielantha's shrine. It was in that battle that Cylan fell in his valiant attempt to rid the world of this great shadow. However, in this fall both the necromancer and Cylan were greatly weakened and it was in this weakened state that Cylan's Lord, the Great Dragon Lord Dielantha reached down and captured Cylan's soul before the Necromancer could reach for it and it was at that time that the Pantheon established Cylan as a Lord in the Heavens. Ever since that day the weakened necromancer and the new Lord Cylan, still weakened, would do battle. This went on for some time until one evening Lord Cylan created a rift unto the hells and plunged the evil shadow necromancer into it. Cylan quickly sealed the rift and all seemed quiet. However, all was not well. The Dome of Light began to deteriorate and Cylan began to lose faith in mortals and the strength of the light. It was soon after this realization that a force of darkness gathered in Arkham and opened a gateway to the Hells where they released the vile one known as Skexis. Skexis and his demon minions began to ravage the lands and then out of all the chaos that Skexis was causing a shadow rose from the hells and headed towards the Dome of Light. Thinking that Cylan will be distracted by Skexis the now Shadow Lich, the once shadow necromancer, had grown in power and had planned to bring down the Dome of Light. However, Lord Cylan found the Lich and a great battle began to ensue until the Shadow Lich fled into the Hells and Cylan, driven by his passion, followed the Lich into the Hells. Without knowing Cylan had corrupted himself by his very presence in the hells but that is not the end. Cylan was seen within the Hells speaking to a strong, shadowed form with the Shadow Lich calmly standing by his side. As Cylan was listening a shadow came to envelope him and within the cloud of shadows could be seen arching flames. Then, suddenly, the earth began to shake and the shadowy form that was Cylan appeared to make a mad dash for the opening of the hells and the Shadow Lich followed but Cylan, again, plunged the Lich deeper into the Hells and the world went black. When the world came to a Demon Horse, a Nightmare, now stood in the form of what Cylan once was. Cylan was now completely comprised of shadows in the form of a Centaur that now arch continuously with flames. No one knows exactly what happened in the Hells and what Cylan heard, but the world now knows that Lord Cylan is of the darkest sort. Some say he was enlightened and he saw the strength within the shadow. Some say he was possessed. Yet all agree, Lord Cylan is not the sort to trifle with. Rules of Worship Holy Days
