The grandson of a paladin who forsook the guild, Anthatal grew up in great shame. When he came of age, he vowed to make good on his family's name once again and took apprenticeship under the paladin master of Elvenhame. It was his knowledge and keeping to the Code, written centuries ago by Lord Cedric, that earned him a rapid promotion through the guild. Not long after his numerous promotions in the guild began, Anthatal found himself drawn to another calling as well, that of the Law. The old ways of the Enforcers in the past had crumbled giving rise to the ancient and secretive sect known as the Arbiters of Justicar. He threw himself madly into this task, to reclaim his family's honor and to do his duty to his patron Lord Carenthir as well. It was not long before he was asked to take on the added responsibilities of High Arbiter of the budding house. He accepted, and a time of Law began. His time was short lived, however. A mistake came upon him one day, and though many pleaded with him to overlook his error; Anthatal could not. He placed a criminal mark upon himself, and ordered his death for his crime accordingly. He then removed himself from the ranks of the Justicar to await his fate by his Lord's hand. And that fate did arrive. He was ordered back into the house as an advisor to those who now led, given a chance to redeem himself. And this he did, but always first in his mind was that he was to be paladin before all things. And once more, it was his keeping to the Code that was recognized. This time, by the Pantheon as he was chosen to serve in immortality watching over the guild that was so near to his heart; teaching the young ones this Code that had been forgotten by so many. And to the Laws he shall always look to guide as well. A single rose, blooming evermore. Rules of Worship Holy Days
