Choosing a Character's Class
Picking which guild you want to join is never an easy one. Dark Mists offers such a large choice of possible professions that this may end up being the single hardest part of your character creation simply because the possibilities are endless.

When thinking of which class to pick, keep in mind what rp you plan on following. If you plan on playing a greedy, lying, cheating type of character, chances are you will not be joining the Paladin's Guild. Below is a list of the main guilds in Thera. Some guilds will require you to be of a specific alignment while others require you to be of a specific ethos, so be mindful of this when are deciding on which guild to join.

To further give you more options and possible roleplay avenues to explore, nearly each guild has what are known as subclasses. Each subclass devotes itself to a single, more specific aspect, of the guild at large. By focusing more on an aspect of the guild, the subclass may gain new skills and spells at the cost of others, so please keep this in mind.

Remember that if you pick a guild that requires you to follow the path of goodness and righteousness, you are expected to, more or less, adhere to this roleplay. A paladin who goes about slaying little puppies, kittens, and children will not be looked upon favorably. So if you have a roleplay in mind be sure to pick a class that comes as close to it as possible. It will make your roleplay experience ever more enjoyable

The following is a list of the guilds that you can join in Dark Mists:

Warrior: Fighters by nature, master of weapons
Thief: Stealthy and sneaky, adept at the art of stealing
Cleric: Master of the healing arts and blessed of the gods
Paladin: Half fighter, half healer, followers of the light
Anti-Paladin: Half mage, half fighter, followers of the evil gods
Ranger: Master Outdoorsmen
Monk: Martial art experts. Strive for perfection of the body
Channeler: Magical sponges, capable of absorbing magic around them
NightWalker: Dark Walkers, bred of the night, Evil assassins
Necromancer: Masters of dark magic
Elementalist: Controllers of the elements
