I wondered how the infamous Thaedys was involved... but until now, it just seemed he was just guilty of hanging out with you guys, not actually participating in the cheating (and just being a general punk -- "Nurixos" Wink -- not that I recall ever having any real run-ins with him to incur his personal wrath). Now that he chose to pass this character to Kerthian, all I need to do is confirm that some piece of gear that was in Kerthian's hands is still in Aesilieas's hands as of the pass.

Should I look at Aes's two active alts while I am at it?

He changed his password to your password tonight. That looks like a character transfer to me. And yes, he has things from Kerthian. Thanks for the tip.

The alts look fine.

There are other ways to make the game exciting than to screw with the players and the Imms, who could be better spending their time, oh, fixing PWS, the fly spell, or something.

You love to have the upside? What upside? Does it make you feel great that you have to cheat to win? Cause in a sense, your not even winning, your just losing the second you cheat.

Quite pathetic... If you actually took your time that you used so frequently to cheat, and put it into something productive, you might actually get somewhere in your life..

Oh and I bet they are already ranking their alts, so that they can go hoarde some more in the morning.. Why do we even allow them, why don't we just deny them all for being involved with Ryan? I mean this should be a criminal offense by now in DM's case.

Sadly, that's exactly what I was pointing out with my post earlier.

"I don't deny what I did, and I indeed broke the rules. However, what I've done was in no intention to destroy muds balance, hoard, involve OOC rings into it, or in any way hurt or beat someone. Sadly, all those things happen on regular basis, every single day, and we are sole witnesses of it."

Loosing a 100% mastered character with over 100 hours game time - Xavius - over a few pieces of arkham gear and an iron knife on level 10 and never even thinking about doing anything wrong after that period.. if that is same as this.. well what to say. I was told, few years back, by another Imm, for minor offenses like those, warnings and minor punishments are given. If you repeat it second time, after you have been warned, well that's it then.

But hey, if Xuri chooses to drive away players who try to help newbies most of their hours spent on, who aren't scared logging in when there are bunch of enemies around, who spend time ooc thinking out ideas on how to improve stuff in mud.. well that's his prerogative.

Makes me all fuzzy inside to be put in same category of players like these trash. Especially considering I never had any of my main characters denied, in 10+ years here.

No one puts you on that level. Rules are rules, and the punishments are all the same for everyone. Just because you both recieved the same punishment does not mean that we feel you to be a harm to the game, Mallecai. You made a stupid mistake, just as we all have. Learn from it, and we welcome you back. These guys...not so much.

And do not blame Xurinos. He tried to make things more lenient. It is us players that are so vehement.

Wow? Did anyone hear me say MALLECAI YOU ARE A POS?! No. I never bashed you once, I never said anything about you once. If you so has to happen to play one of these these characters mentioned in the above post, then you are a POS. Other than that, I never had anything to say bad about you, nor would I. I think DM needs all it can get, but it needs honest people, not people who are shady, and backstabbing. People who are narcassistic, and wanting to do anything regardless of what it takes, to get what they want, even if it means destroying a game everyone else enjoys.

This is why these guys are on a different level than you. Hopefully..

And all along we as a playerbase have been complaining
about how the Turkish players operate. As we can all
see, at least they attempt to rp, attempt to fight by
whatever means necessary and in some way contribute to
Darkmists. My gut feeling was that the player behind
Kerthian was a piece of trash but no one listened.
I told ya he stole the enchanter code a while back and
made a website over it. Now this. As much as we are in
desperate need for new and old players, we dont need
that crap here. Slap on the old site ban and be done
with it. Thanks for the super sleuthing, Xurinos.

Since our previous winner ended up being a cheat, I'm rerunning the lottery.

All races (except for dark-elf and minotaur) will be in the running to win this time.

The lottery will be run sometime this weekend so make sure to choose quickly!

See "help lottery" in game for more information.

Please note: Housed characters and previously housed characters are ineligible to win. You must be over level 30.

After reading the list of ideas that everyone has posted, I find myself agreeing to some of them. My brother introduced me to the game and I thank him for it. But since he was busy with life, I was left finding most of the areas by myself. I made many chars, and used them to find my way around the world. Being a newbie to muds themselves, I was completely lost at first. The idea of going anywhere through text boggled my mind. However, there was hope. My first char: Keron was spent learning the areas and having fun. The second char: Theronia was more of an introduction to light(not the house). My third char: Illithidor was more of a serious character. By my fourth character, I had found out most of the areas and memorized it. I took a 3 month break, where most of those characters were erased due to inactivity. However I decided to start anew. I tried to get my friends into the game and showed them around. Now I have Nelmar, my awesome Necromancer. If anyone is lost, I can mostly help them out.

However what I don't like the equipment. Many of the vets here know where to get the equipment. Most newbies don't. I still don't know where. Most of the time, a vet would look at me and offer to outfit me. However there was a few things that I learned such as the ghost under the pub in Arkham, or the Draconian Queen (Thanks Arneryn!). But mostly, for the early levels, I did not know where to get the equipment. If there was a guide for that, I think newbies would have an easier time with competeing with the vets.

Last thing I wanted to mention is locations. Unless someone shows you, or you are willing to die ALOT, you will not learn where most places are. Because of Xo (Xo, thanks!), I was able to learn where the great houses are. However had "it" not shown me, I still wouldn't know where they are. I think that there should be post about how to get to some popular areas, such as Silverwood (White wands, gotta love them), the great houses and good training spots.

Well, that is what I believe, and thanks for reading this.
