Thugs, highwaymen, rogues, cutpurses, pickpockets. Many names have those workers of the night, but all of them are easily grouped together as Thieves. Many people in Thera see things that they want and do not have every day. Many are content with this and stop at just wanting them, but there are those who go beyond this. Whether it is for survival, wealth, glory, or just the challenge these Thieves are compelled to take what they wish when they want to.

Not all thieves have the same reasons to work their arts and not all thieves are built the same way or gifted with the same talents. Thus many types of thieves exist. A good deal of Thieves do not have any special gifts or desires and train in equal parts all the skills known and taught by the guildmasters. Others find that they like different ways of doing things. Those who are rougher and desire a more physical approach follow the teachings of the highwaymen. Those who rough up the victims, bind them, and then take what they want and do what they want to their victims.

Others have a nature of a different sort and seek adventure, glory, and riches elsewhere. They go to the seas to learn their trade. Learning the finesse of the sword, as well as how to use their bodies upon the rough waves of the sea. They can easily manipulate lesser crew men to work for them for a small fee and can be quite haughty, though there are those who still keep to themselves.

A rogue branch of Thieves found that the best way to work in the night was to become more of a part of it. Studying Nightwalkers, Monks and their fellow Thieves they created a clan of skilled assassins. These ninjas have taken the darkest arts known to Thieves and made them darker. They strike quickly and fiercely and can fade back into the shadows quicker than the eye can follow.
